Travel Day

Today we packed our belongings and left Rome for Barcelona.  When I went out to get breakfast supplies, I took one last, brief sightseeing detour, back to Santa Maria della Pace to see the Bramante cloister.  The cloister was beautiful, but partially obscured by scaffolding.

After we were all packed, Evan and Sara went shopping nearby for a few souvenirs.  Then it was time to head to the airport.  Although it was sad to leave Rome, we were happy to be headed for Barcelona and Laura!  Our friendly cab driver from the Barcelona airport gave us a tour of part of the Barri Gotic, the area where our apartment is located.  Laura came to welcome us and we all went out for tapas at a restaurant nearby.  We are looking forward to exploring our new environment tomorrow.
